چکیده
Abstract This paper proposes an approach for the determination of analytical boundaries continuous, stick-slip and no motion regimes steady-state response a multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) system with single Coulomb contact to harmonic excitation. While these have been previously investigated single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems, they are mostly unexplored MDOF systems. Closed-form expressions derived validated numerically two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) Different configurations observed by changing mass in connecting rubbing wall to: (i) ground, (ii) base or (iii) other mass. A procedure extending results systems more than 2DOFs is also proposed (i)–(ii) case 5DOF ground-fixed contact. The boundary between continuous obtained as extension Den Hartog’s formulation SDOF damping (Trans Am Soc Mech Eng 53: 107–115, 1931). ad hoc procedure, based on comparison overall dynamic load friction force acting finally represented two-dimensional parameter space, showing that shape regions associated three can change significantly when different physical parameters considered.

Simulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion
The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...

متن کاملDiscrete Contact Problems with Coulomb Friction
The paper deals with a discrete model of a two-dimensional Signorini problem with Coulomb friction and a coefficient of friction F depending on the spatial variable. It is shown that a solution exists for any F and is unique if F is sufficiently small. We also prove that this unique solution is a Lipschitz continuous function of F . Numerical realization is done by the piecewise smooth Newton m...

This paper introduces a hybrid scheme for simulating rigid bodies in contact. W e use (cm adaptive strategy for handling two different contact situations, 'bouncing' and 'steady'. To handle contact f o r rigid bodies, we use two impulse-based methods to explicitiy or implicitly compute impulses due to collision impact. These two methods are used so that different impulse methods are applied ada...

This paper presented methods to determine the aerodynamic forces that acton an aircraft wing during flight. These methods are initially proposed for asimplified two degree-of-freedoms airfoil model and then are extensivelyapplied for a multi-degree-of-freedom airfoil system. Different airspeedconditions are considered in establishing such methods. The accuracy of thepresented methods is verifie...
